I recently read a study that most men in the world are confused about what they should be… it seems advertising has started to group all men into two categories, cuddly fuzzy, understanding pink shirt metrosexuals or sport loving beer guzzling oafs. In the spirit of the 4th of July I’m here to give men their freedom.
Guys.. It’s ok to like guy stuff, it doesn’t make you an oaf, uneducated or insensitive. It’s ok to be a guy.. just be a good guy. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I like sports but they are not my life, given the choice between a good game and a great movie, I’ll take the movie. Given the choice between a good game and a great concert, I’ll take the concert… given a choice between a great game, great movie, great concert… I’ll take the great game. That’s pretty cut and dry right? I would wear a pink shirt.. but only if it would get me laid and it probably wouldn’t be my first choice of a shirt.
I love basketball and I love women but I don’t love women’s basketball.. I love good food but I fancy restaurants don’t impress me. I like owning nice things but I don’t notice designer labels. I like looking at attractive women but I wouldn’t cheat on my significant other. I think guys should for the most part be able to do whatever they want to do, but I don’t think being a Vegan is acceptable if you are a man. In short, men are half beer guzzling oafs, and the other half well dressed, composed metrosexuals. So act like a man and be comfortable and confident with yourself and leave being confused and insecure to the women. Continue reading →
