If you’re at all like me, you’ve had an ongoing love/hate relationship with your cell phone for a long time. It all started last May when I called Verizon to break off our relationship, and I ended up not only taking it back, but upgrading as well.

Apparently, after a long discussion, we both realized it was me that wasn’t putting enough into the relationship… so I agreed to pay more each month, spend more time sharing intimate conversations with my cell, and we were all hoping things would get better. Part of the problem was that my cell phone wasn’t the same phone I bought years ago. The cell I met and fell head over heels for was a company that no longer exists. It was bought out, changed, given a face lift… it happened again and again until it became what it [...]

And Yet Another Fucking “Disaster”

The poverty-stricken people displaced by Hurricane Katrina last year– and the images of people sitting on their rooftops for days, waiting to be airlifted to safety, touched the hearts of many. Almost everyone I know (including Christopher) donated generously to help the victims of Katrina as the news about how FEMA was increasingly botching rescue efforts began to unravel more and more by the day.

As you’ll recall… President George W. stood by FEMA president Michael D. Brown, praising him for “a heck of a job.” Now I don’t know about you… but where I come from… “a heck of a job” usually means you did well. But it soon become apparent that good ole Mike …

(in an effort to warn the world that they are about to get their asses kicked by our soccer team). But he must have forgotten about this post that he wrote five months ago… Best Sport Soccer? Al-Zarqawi Terminated

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the al-Qaida leader in Iraq who waged a bloody campaign of suicide bombings and beheadings of hostages, has been killed in a precision airstrike. Al-Zarqawi and seven aides were killed Wednesday evening in a remote area 30 miles northeast of Baghdad in the volatile province of Diyala, just east of the provincial capital of Baqouba, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said.

Amazing how killing one fucking terrorist like this can bring a smile to my early morning ass. Al-Zarqawi dead and the World Cup all starting in the same week.. ahh it’s a good week. )
