Here’s how to tell if your man is straight or gay…

10.
Straight: He wears the same shirt for three days.
Gay: He wears three shirts a day.

9.
Straight: He thinks you spend too much money on getting your hair done.
Gay: He offers to do your belliage for you to save you money.

8.
Straight: When you ask him if he thinks Orlando Bloom is hot, he says, “I can’t judge if other guys are hot or not.”
Gay: When you ask him if he thinks Orlando Bloom is hot, he says, “Well… not as hot as Antonio Banderas.”

7.
Straight: A weekend outing with the “guys” involves either golf, football, or lap dances.
Gay: A weekend outing with the “guys” involves dancing, wine tasting, or a quick trip to San Francisco.

Paying it Forward– Lost Dog Incident

Posted on March 27th, 2007 by Christine.

So… if you’ve been reading my recent posts, you’ll know my car– the one that was only four days away from being traded in for a new car when the distributor went out, you’ll know I’m car-less right now. It’s not a big deal to be car-less because Christopher offered to drive me around if I needed it, and I live pretty much close to everything I need, so I can walk. And I like walking.

So this morning, I was supposed to have an appointment with my personal trainer at 8am. At 7:30, I leave my house and start the 1 mile walk to the gym. As I’m walking, I see this little gray dog with …

Stupid Marriage

So Christopher tells me tonight that he basically thinks there’s no point in getting married and that the only reason he married his ex-wife was because he was young and stupid. His position is that he’s as committed to me right now as he could possibly be and getting married won’t change anything– it won’t make him love me more, or be more committed, etc, etc. I pretty much think that’s a lie. If that were true– and he was as committed as he could be, and he wasn’t waiting for anything, he’d just go ahead and propose. He’s obviously waiting for something more to change in him– to feel some other way– to know that …

The Day from Hell

Posted on March 26th, 2007 by Christine.

Yesterday was one of those days for me.

It actually started out the night before when Christopher and I got into a really big fight. I’m gonna tell this from my angle because Christopher’s more than capable of telling his own. So here’s how the last 24 hours went…

Friday night, I didn’t get to hang out with Christopher. He had to study for a test. That was cool, but I was really looking forward to seeing him Saturday night then. I’d told him I’d make dinner for us on Saturday night after I met up with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while and then went to test drive some new cars (because I had …

Slimming Down - 220 lbs to 160 lbs - No Sweat.

So anybody who has read my rages against fat people knows that I’m not the biggest fan of people who choose to be overweight and the reality of the situation is that people choose to be overweight, however our society doesn’t make it easy to stay in good shape. I should know. In 2004 I was checking in at 220lbs and felt horrible. Then I decided to start making changes, most of my changes were trial and error but I do have some observations that can help even the most dire body.

Exercise:

  • Overeating is not the result of exercise. Vigorous exercise won’t stimulate you to overeat. It’s just the opposite. Exercise at any level helps curb your appetite

Lazy-bones Paradox

This is one of my favorite paradoxes.. and one of the simplest.

If destiny designed a master plan, which defines everything that is to happen, isn’t it useless to for example go to a doctor? If I am ill and it is my destiny to regain health, than I will regain health whether I visit a doctor or I don’t. And if I shall not be healthy again, than I will not with or without help.  If I am ill and destiny has a definite plan for me, than it is useless to go anywhere.
