After 35 Years… Love Conquers All.

Diana loved Charles… Charles loved Camilla…after 35 years, true love finally triumphs…

While I?ve never been one to become intrigued by the soap-opera politics of England?s royal family, I have to say, this is a pretty good love story…

Prince Charles, after waiting 35 years, finally marries the woman he actually loves. Good for them.

In case you?ve been living the bin Laden life lately (hiding out in a dark cave somewhere), and don?t know what I?m talking about, I?ll fill you in…

Lady Diana (truly a great woman who devoted her life to charitable causes and was adored by the Brits) married Prince Charles (son of that crusty old little queen) in an arranged marriage decades ago. It was a huge ordeal… I actually remember watching the wedding on t.v. as a little girl… and everyone thought Lady Di, with her spectacular wedding gown and ceremony fit for a princess, would live like most princesses do… happily ever after.

Not exactly…

While Princess Diana was very committed to Charles (despite the fact he has a tiny little pinhead nestled between two gigantic ears), Charles actually loved Camilla and throughout the course of Diana and Charles? marriage, he never stopped loving this other woman. His devotion to Camilla was a source of pain for Diana (as I?m sure it would be for anyone who knows his/her spouse is actually in love with someone else), and many people believe that his inability to suppress his feelings for Camilla while accepting Diana as his wife made him a real asshole. They believe that Charles, in essence, ?ruined? Diana?s life.

Now, I don?t know about that… sure, he probably shouldn?t have married her if he wasn?t going to love her… that was unfair to her… but what can you really expect in an arranged marriage?

Charles and Diana eventually divorced (after producing two super hot sons who will eventually take over the throne)… and the two went on with their lives. As we all know, Diana was killed a few years ago in the famous paparazzi car chase crash.

So now… Charles and Camilla have finally wed… The Church of England refused to allow the marriage there because both Charles and Camilla have been divorced, and the crusty old queen decided not to attend. They had a modest civil service, far from the elaborate wedding Charles and Diana had so long ago. But despite all that… they are happy. And we should be happy for them.

So many people plod through life never finding that one true soul mate. How special it must be for those who do, and how horrible it must be to know you can?t be with him/her. A love (however forbidden it might have been) that lasted 35 years… deserves to come out on top.

Congratulations to Charles and Camilla.

Camilla is nasty??? We’re judging Camilla??? Have you taken a peek at Charles? It amazes me that something as beautiful as Prince William could have come from his loins… I just grossed myself out by writing that. Swear to God… I have the heebie jeebies now.

the issue with Price Charles, the fugly, marrying in a C of E church was to do with a law about an heir marrying a divorcee and therefore giving her chance tobecome the new queen. quick rewriting of a bill (law) made her into a duchess, and in the futre she shall be the kings consort (if he lives that long!)
