This is mostly targeted toward the workplace and how when there isn’t a man available for the job to get a woman to work at maximum efficiency.

  1. Pick young married women. They usually have more sense of responsibility than their unmarried friends, they’re less likely to be flirtatious, they need the work or they wouldn’t be doing it, they still have the pep and interest to work hard and to deal with the public efficiently.
  2. Retain a physician to give each woman you hire a special physical examination - one covering female conditions. This step not only protects the property against the possibilities of lawsuit, but reveals whether the employee-to-be has any female weaknesses which would make her mentally of physically unfit for the job.
  3. Stress at the outset the importance of time the fact that a minute or [...]

A Cat Mom’s Anxieties…

So tomorrow I’m going to Palm Springs for the weekend. And it will officially be the first time I leave my little kitty (Meisha) home alone. There are a few reasons I’m experiencing a great deal of anxiety over this…

First… Meisha is very clingy. Because I work from home, she’s used to me being with her pretty much all day. She doesn’t like to be more than a few feet from me at any given moment and even when I have to use the bathroom, she feels the need to come in with me, wait for me to get done, and then follow me back to whatever room I was in before my bathroom break. …

1. He is a great athlete who didn’t mind taking time to teach me how to be better at racquetball back when I really sucked so that I would eventually be a more challenging opponent and we could play more often.
2. He has an irrational fear of sharks and miniature crabs.

Longer Days are Here Again…

Ahhh… it’s back. Daylight Savings Time. I love it. I love longer days, more sunlight, proof that summer is once again on its way.

Well… this is a little public service announcement to remind you all to remember to turn your clocks forward so you’re not late to anything. I wrote a little post about why we actually have Daylight Savings Time last year at this time, and it’s not a bunch of made-up bullshit. I actually researched the answers and all that, so if you’re interested in how this whole flexible clock thing came about, click here to read last year’s post.

And happy spring, everyone! -D
