I could go on and on and on.. the point is.. ALL of these leagues have their playoff systems ALL WRONG.

How can they not see the light and implement the BCS system that College Football Division one uses… come on people the BCS rocks and here’s 5 reasons why.

1. Nobody understands it so nobody can really say it’s wrong.. (think about how interested it is to decide the national champion with a system that doesn’t make sense).

2. No matter what there is never a clear cut national champion, so the the debate about who the best team.. …

Knight Rulez

Once again the media is all up an arms about my boy Boddy Knight the coach at Texas Tech. (Make sure you check out the full post to get a top 10 sound bites) This week they are all bent about him slapping a player. Now the player, the player parents, the AD and of course Bobby Knight don’t know what all the fuss is about… let’s remember in about 4 week’s Bobby Knight will be the all time leader in NCAA wins, lets give him the respect that title earns and also keep things in perspective. There is a reason the schoool, player and parents are all worked up.. because it’s a non issue.

Why Hockey Fans Shouldn’t Play Fantasy Football…

There are certain things in life that some of us just shouldn’t do, for example I shouldn’t write movies… Christine has informed me of this many times… ( I always want to make everybody a killer, even the little kid with the ice cream ) and Christine probably isn’t cut out for the Military. There are less extremes to this of course where certain hobbies should be left alone.. I’m really not going to ever be a world class scrap booker. I would like to state right now.. that Hockey players probably shouldn’t play Fantasy Football… it’s just not healthy for there delicate ego’s.

As if I have ever needed reasons to sing the praises of soccer… ahhh soccer girls.. gotta lovem. These pics were probably for an ad, I’m not sure what they are selling but I’m sold…let me count up the pluses… 1. soccer, 2. girls, 3. asians, 4. mud… umm ya that is some solid marketing.

CLEARLY the world is over reacting here.. we really need to get off Miami’s case.. it’s not like someone got killed.. or even injured…. A little southern beatdown.. and helmet swinging.. come on.. this is common in college football.. right?? I mean 13 players suspended for one game!!! Against their arch rivel duke no less (tounge in cheek here people duke is quite possibly the worst football program in Division 1). A one game suspension against duke.. now that hurts.. HURTS… it really doesn’t get any tougher then that… it’s not like beating someone up is a crime.. or that you could actually hurt someone by swinging your helmet.. that is a little ridiculous don’t ya think?
