Not to poke holes in this well-conceived proof, but… “time and money” = time PLUS money, not time MULTIPLIED BY money. And if you correct that mistake, it sort of falls apart from there…
Nice try though. I guess it’s true that boys really are better at math…
So, Christine, you’re saying:
Girls = Time + Money
and we know “Time = Money”, therefore we substitute for Time as:
Girls = Money + Money, [or Girls = 2 X Money]
If we multiply both side by 1/2 to reduce the right side to “Money” then:
1/2 Girls = Money
Substitute “Money = SQRT(evil) and we get:
1/2 Girls = SQRT(evil)
Then we square both side to get “evil” isolated on the right side:
(1/2) X (1/2) Girls = Evil [or 1/4 Girls = evil]
Now to get the ratio for 1 whole girl (an integer) you multiply both sides by 4:
Girls = 4 X Evil
There… I think that’s about right!
Joe—-if we are gonna go the math route on this one… no matter what formula you use to try to get to your theoretical
Girls = 4 x Evil…..
One constant in this math theory is no matter if it is 2xevil, 4 x evil, whatever,
boys always love pi
Amen, sister — btw, the (^) emoticon also serves as pie!
Christine — did Katie mean:
3.14159265 or did she mean (@)
It was a clever double entendre. Pi representing (@) .
ProphetJoe, you didn’t “square both sides.”
(1/2 x Girls) ^ 2 = (1/2)^2 x Girls^2 = 1/4 x Girls ^ 2
(Girls ^ 2) = 4 x Evil
not to rain on your all’s parade… but it isn’t money that is the root to all evil… it is the LOVE of money that leads to evil… so see… it is really all your GUYS fault anyway!
