Liars and Credibility.

I love hearing baby killing liberals get all up in arms about President Bush sending troops off to war under false pretenses and how he lied to the American public. The facts don’t support that assessment there is a different between lying and just being misinformed. Now… if you want to see a good example of someone who is just lies for the sake of lying.. read on.

The conservative alumni group Concerned Alumni of Princeton (CAP) has been the subject of criticism in recent weeks, but yesterday the University itself also came under scrutiny. Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.), who grilled Samuel Alito ‘72 about his CAP membership, also said that he “wasn’t a big Princeton fan.” “I didn’t even like Princeton,” he said, to laughter from the gallery. “I mean, I really didn’t like Princeton. I was an Irish Catholic kid who thought it had not changed like you concluded it had,” referring to Alito’s earlier statement that Princeton had changed its traditional ways before he enrolled.
But Biden had nothing but praise for the University in a 2004 speech at the Wilson School. “It’s an honor to be here,” he told the audience. “It would have been an even greater honor to have come here.” Biden also said yesterday: “One of my real dilemmas is I have two kids who went to Ivy League schools. I’m not sure my Grandfather Finnegan will ever forgive me for allowing that to happen.” But in his speech at Princeton, he said, “I have three children who have mercifully all finally completed undergraduate and graduate school. And I tried to get all three of them to apply here.” He went on to recall how he tried to convince them to attend Princeton, but because they didn’t, he’s “counting on his grandchildren.”

I’m an asshole.. because…? I mean clearly anybody who reads our blog knows I’m the asshole but usually people feel the need to point out specifics. My post was fairly specific, your attack was fairly broad, maybe that is because you have no point.

Chris, you’re an asshole on general principles. ) Now, your opinion about politics and the war are separate issues entirely. )
Just remember–and this goes for all of them, even if they have “judge” or “senator” beside their name–there is a method of telling when a lawyer is lying.

Congrats Haas on the Gravatar, It always gets me stoked to see people figuring out the little things, we got some cool things under development here (Christine doesn’t even know yet) but they should lead 2 more posts from us and a more structed and easy to navigate site.

As for lying, generally lying is ok in personal life if it is done for good reasons, now public servents those are another matter all together.

This is the prob with people who confuse Patriotism with Stupidity. (People assume that by saying something remotely patriotic they are automatically right…) Be Partiotic there is nothing wrong with it… but when u enter the twilight zone of insanity atleast think for a while making a statement.
