I have believed ever since that fateful day when OJ Simpson and Al Cowlings led L.A. police on that low speed chase down the 405 freeway so many years ago, that OJ Simpson murdered his estranged ex-wife and her friend Ron Goldman. After watching hours and hours of the court room theatrics during the trial and seeing how celebrity money can literally buy a legal team that will get you out of anything– literally even murder– I felt more strongly than ever that the man was guilty.
But as we all know, OJ did get away with murder.
If that weren’t enough for him to count his lucky stars that he’s not sitting on California’s death row right now, he’s decided to exploit the situation again.
This time, he’s collaborating on a book called “O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here’s How It Happened.” The book will be available in stores November 30th, and he’ll be on Fox doing two hour-long interviews on Nov. 27th and 29th. According to Fox, in the interview, OJ describes “how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade.”
I hope no one watches it. I hope no one buys this book. I hope the publisher — ReganBooks– loses money by betting on OJ. Besides… we don’t need him to tell us how he would have committed the brutal killings. We already know how it happened.
Good Point,
It’s a story we already know … all too well.. The only people who think OJ isn’t guilty are the people who think it is ok to pay someone $2.7 million for eating dog food and being teased… So I don’t think your going to get to many people debating OJ’s guilt here… then again…
He cannot be tried again however, unless there is a murder charge that he was not aquitted of.
Your right he cannot be tried again.. however this could open him up to more civil court battles..
First of all, yes, because of double jeopardy, he cannot be tried again for murder, and regardless, I’m sure he’d never put himself in a position to be brought up on any kind of lesser charge (like manslaughter) or conspiracy to commit murder, etc., so the book is probably not all that telling. His lawyers would absolutely not let him be a part of anything that could possibly incriminate him.
Second, there really are no more civil court battles. He was already found guilty in civil court and has not paid the Goldman family or the Brown family the settlement that the court decided on. I hope that the money from this book goes to pay off some of the settlement owed– I don’t think it could possibly pay all of it because they were awarded millions. Although, I doubt it will… OJ Simpson is a greedy, murderous scurge and if you all find me dead on my lawn with my throat slit in the near future, we’ll know he reads this blog.
The sad thing is, people will watch it and buy the book. What is the world coming to these days?
OJ killed someone?
I think it’s natural for people to be curious about what he is going to say about it since so many felt he got away with murder, and there were a lot of things left unexplained after the trial. The problem is… he is going to make money off of this and it will be another forum where he gets to sit there all smug and spout off about how innocent he is and how unfair the whole thing was, and the truth will still not come out after it’s all over… and we’ll never get to hear the other side of what really did happen because the only two who know for sure, are dead.
Trouble: Christine seems to think he did… I don’t know why tho, I mean didn’t she watch the trial.. a unbiased Jury of his peers found him innocent.
On a serious note.. the whole truth.. the long and short truth is he did kill a couple of people everybody knows this.. the details.. aren’t that hard to work out.. ( I mean they did tell us how during his trial)
So good ole Rupert Murdoch canceled OJ’s book deal and the Fox News special stating it was an “ill-considered” project. Better late than never I guess.
Wow.. Oreilly has clout
I think OJ did it too. I was pregnant with my daughter and came home from our breathing classes and saw the chase on the news and I couldn’t believe OJ could have done anything like that, (Until he went to court). Man did he make a complete fool, ASS, etc. of himself, his attorneys, his family. Truly SAD.
The story of OJ makes me sick…i can’t even explain how much i dispise this sick son of a bitch without sounding like a loud ignorant fool…
The thing that truely bothers me is that he feels nothing toward what he did, she couldn’t have done anything to deserve that horrific death, but im sure we all agree with that. All i can say is there is a special place in hell for people like him…
He’s pathetic loser of a man — a pitiful shadow of the once great athlete I enjoyed watching play the game.
Of course, he deserves to be a pathetic loser inside San Quentin’s Death Row. Alas, my only comforting thought is that Lucifer will enjoy roasting his testis over a flaming hot fire to eternity…
