Christine the Lioness hunt n' pecked this
You know I’m gonna have to respond to this.
1. I had no idea he was gonna do 5 5Ks with me this year (I assume they’ll be with me), which I hope they are because that’s awesome. I love doing them with him, it’s a lot more fun than doing them alone, and I was completely shocked when he agreed to take the dance class with me. I’ve wanted to do it for so long and never asked him because I assumed he’d say no. I’m very excited about this and I realize this is not something he’s very interested in, so he’s doing it solely for me.
He’s a really good guy (despite how he comes across on the blog).
2. Yes, I got him a share of Berkshire Hath B, and it didn’t quite elicit the response I was hoping for when he opened it. He was, I guess, a little stunned but he seems to be warming up to the idea more and more every day. Getting the thing transferred from my account to his is proving to be less than simple, but I will figure it out even if I have to open an e-trade account which he has been nagging me to do for months. (He’ll probably appreciate me opening the e-trade account more than receiving the stock). I wanted to get that for him because I wanted him to have something he really wanted and I thought it kind of could show him that a gift for his future could prove that I’m in for the long haul with him.
3. The diamond necklace didn’t suck. I love it. It’s beautiful. When I opened the box and saw it, I felt exactly like the ladies who get diamond necklaces in the commercials feel… except mine was from someone I really love, not from some lame actor I’ll never see again.
It ranks right up there with the best gifts Christopher has ever given me.
4. I agree we both need to do better at posting. I think I’ll post about our experience making bread…
5. We did have our worst fight ever last year and he did grab my cell phone out of my hand, twist it in half and throw it down. I did demand to be let out in a really bad part of town too. I think that fight was the low point for us. We both did a lot of reflecting after that. I don’t ever want to be that way with him ever again.
6. I’m sure Christopher will accomplish his resolutions (even though there are only two)– he’s very good at succeeding at everything he sets out to do.
