I’ll let the graphs tell the story on this one, but it seems to me for the most part we pretty much only like a president when they aren’t doing a whole hell of a lot. The charts represent approval ratings. What do these charts tell me.. not a whole lot.. we are fickle people who change our minds a lot and for very silly reasons. By the time bush two is out of office it is likely his approval ratings will be close to 50%, and this isn’t surprising it is simply statistics. Numbers usually return to the mean given enough time. Mark my words, heck when view incomparison to the other presidents on this list he simply had the farthest to fall since Truman.

Approval ratings don’t mean much… I mean jeez… if you asked me today if I approve of Christopher, it could be vastly different than how I’ll feel tomorrow.
I love Clinton’s chart — his approval rating tanks with NAFTA and Health care reform, but soar after his affairs and blowjobs are exposed… a fickled public indeed!
Clinton was railroaded.
