Well, y’all… here it is! Christopher worked is cute little ass off for weeks on the redesign (I helped some… by reorganizing content and offering feedback on the layout, and by giving him a little oral encouragement every now and then and this is what came of all the labor… the brand new cvc site.
Personally, I love it!
It’s not quite perfect yet… Christopher is still working on fixing a few bugs here and there (I don’t think it works in IE yet either– a big bug), but it’s way faster than our old site, it has a much more organized home page so you can see more posts without scrolling and clicking on as many links, and the overall design is a little cleaner than the other one.
Christopher and I have both changed a lot in the last year and a half since we started doing this blog, so it was only natural the blog would evolve too.
So kudos to my boy for all his hard work and a job well done (as usual). You rock, Christopher!

If anybody can tell me how it looks in IE and if it isn’t rendering in IE, why they think that might be.. I have yet to get it to work on my computer (since u know the second week of development).
It does look good, I like it! And really, who cares how it looks in IE… people need to get with the times and get FF!

Come on you guys… we need to bring these IE people to FF gently… show them the light… nurture them… guide them into the world of Firefox… we will not be able to influence them if they can’t see us…
I just tried it in IE. It does render. Slower a lot slower. The only thing that doesn’t render properly is the recent comments section. You can’t see 80% of that box! Aside from that it looks good for the IE ppl. Why anyone still wants to use ie is beyond me as well but hey.

Ok some notes:
As cool as Gravatars, IP to Country, OS & Browser Sniffing was each of those “features” were adding significant time to page loads, especially when posts would reach 30+ comments. So for right now that is why those are missing. It’s better to have a page that creates and loads in under 10 seconds then to be waiting almost a minute for each page to load. So incase anybody was wondering where those went.. now you know.
