Okay… I actually did laugh at a couple of those. Particularly the flowers one. That is so wrong! It actually reminds me of a really bad Steven Seagal movie where they drop flowers on an infected city and tell them to make tea out of them to cure whatever horrible disease everyone has and is dying from there. =))
By the way… I’m not sure what the deal is with the Muslims and 99 virgins in heaven… why would 99 virgins be so great? I mean in all honesty… I’m much better at giving head now than I was when I was a virgin (and much more motivated to do it well if you know what I mean 
) and second… any guy who has experience being a cherry-popper would probably agree that recently de-flowered virgins tend to be very, very “clingy.” “What do you mean? You said you’d love me forever… I even slept with you, you liar!”

I think it’s 72 virgins…not totally sure though. But, it’s typical propaganda coming from an overbearing, oppressive, patriarchal society. Then again, these cartoons are funny, and I like the fact that I can laugh at them. (Plus, I can go to town without a sheet over my head, and an overprotective male relative). No matter how corny it sounds: God Bless America (And France, England, Germany, Italy, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Spain, etc.)

So today, a crowd burned the Danish embassy because of these cartoons. Some were saying they regretted not murdering the people who published them…
I realize drawing a cartoon of Mohammad is a real slap in the face since they’re not allowed to represent him with pictures at all… but in all essence… won’t Allah take care of that for them if the transgressions are really that bad? If you don’t trust your God to dole out just punishment when people die, then what can you trust your God to do?
Burning down an embassy is just as ridiculous as the rioters burning down the stores in their own neighborhoods. Forethought, people… forethought.

Not very funny [-(, I dont like making fun of someones religion and would in no way encourage it. I dont neccessarily agree with all principles of all religions but making fun of it wont make it go away.

Ahh and we do make fun of Bush and everybody else here, but you don’t see anybody burning down buildings to protest the right of free speech. You hope no Muslims got hurt, fuck the muslims if they didn’t get hurt I hope they read it again or I’ll be happy to make it more insensative.. they are burning down buildings becuase of a fuckign cartoon, these people don’t deserve pitty, respect or compassion.

Sigh… People react to something in all the wrong ways.. And most commonly it spoils the name of the entire community.
Though I don’t really see much issue with the cartoons, the reactions by some of the muslim people, it only add more fuel to the fire for the growing hatred towards their causes and religion, more so after Al Qaeda’s insanity.

I think its realy sad that these people would get all crazy over a cartoon.But when the truth hurts it hurts.They are the ones telling the rest of the world that their prophet Mohamed says to get to heaven you must blow yourself up with innocent people this is sick what kind of god preaches this.maybe that’s why they wear turbans on their head they must of all fallen and can’t think straight. Civilized society? I guess that depends on what part of Canada you’re living in… J/K. I agree that it’s pretty messed up to think you should kill people over a cartoon… but it makes sense to me they would react that way… I mean, we are talking about people who have never experienced or value freedom of speech or of the press, or of religion for that matter… and are taught fanatical views to keep them oppressed and unable to think for themselves. We (the rest of us) can’t possibly understand what that must be like…

I agree with Christine. They have been somewhat “brainwashed” into a backwards way of thinking. It’s hard to pass judgement on a civilization when you have experienced the complete opposite upbringing in your own society. But just because you have been taught that it’s okay, doesn’t mean we aren’t going to be pissed when you start killing people over a cartoon. Everyone’s allowed to think whatever they want, but when your actions put the lives of univolved people in danger, it doesn’t really matter what you “think” anymore. As far as I’m concerned, when you start blowing up buildings because something offended you, I really don’t care if you’re offended or not. I think YOU should go….blow up. haha. >-

the whole thing is that terrorism and random acts of violence such as the vt thing is cowardice, these acts are taken by people that are too weak or scared to deal with the problems they have so they attemp to make a “statement” that the world will take their problems seriously, martyr? never do people feel for saddam or bin laden’s views because they can kill unarmed innocent people? do we feel pity for this asshole at vt because he hated rich people? no, these people are cowards that can’t fix the problems in their own worlds so they take it out on people that are unsuspecting, give all the victims a fair share and hand them weapons and lock them in a hangar and handle it that way see how much of a pussy these guys would be then
